Primera mother arrested after abandoning children to visit boyfriend in jail

A Primera mother is behind bars after she allegedly abandoned her children to visit a man in the Huntsville prison.

According to  Primera police, on March 30, 2019 they followed up on a report several children had been left home alone.

Police said upon further investigation,  it was determined that Amanda Cabello, 30, had left her her children ages five, eight and 11, home alone.

According top police, Cabello drove to Huntsville, Texas to visit a boyfriend that is in incarcerated.

Primera Police arrested  Cabello April 4, at 2:30 p.m.

She was charged with three  counts of abandoning a child with intent to return.

She received a total $10,500. bond

Cabello was transported to the Carrizales Jail.
