Presidential Visit Brings Traffic Delays and Road Closures

When the president visits McAllen drivers will need to be alert and cautious of road closures. When President Trump visits other cities it causes major traffic concerns. Road closures and detours for drivers is expected. What can you expect if you are in McAllen when the president arrives?

The McAllen Police Department was unable to give us any information and referred us to the White House. 

A White House official says they are unable to provide any details at this time because the president’s schedule has yet to be released. What we do know is that the president is expected to land tomorrow at 12:50 and expect heavy congestion around the airport all day long. One detail that has been confirmed is that the president will visit Anzalduas Park and a port of entry. 

Keep in mind this is all a very fluid situation. If you are driving and you’ll want to avoid these areas and keep an eye out for road closures and traffic. Stay with Local 23 News as we will have updates and team coverage on President Trump’s visit to McAllen.
