The pre-trial hearing for Cameron County Tax Assessor Tony Yzaguirre wrapped up today. Yzaguirre is accused of corruption, bribery, engaging in organized criminal activity and official oppression. Today a judge discussed evidence involving recordings and conversations of those involved in the case. Yzaguirre’s trial is set for November of this year. Yzaguirre’s defense attorney requested a list of witnesses that will appear in court. The judge accepted and will deliver a list 30 days prior to trial.
