Power outages reported across the Rio Grande Valley

Harlingen, Texas (KVEO)– Numerous power outages are being reported across the Rio Grande Valley following a thunderstorm.

As of 8:20 a.m., American Electric Power (AEP) Texas is reporting 4,800 customers that are currently without power across the Valley .

Magic Valley Electric Cooperative is also working outages in the Valley. They are currently working outages affecting 1555 customers, according to their website.

American Electric Power spokesman Eladio Jaimez said the company restored power is expected to restore power customers by 10:30 a.m.
