The Brownsville Police Department is now asking for your help as they release more details on the investigation involving a body that was found on the side of the road just a few days ago.
I’m outside the Brownsville Police Department where investigators have ruled the body that was found on the side of the road a homicide.
Brownsville PD Officer, JJ Trevino, “It is now considered a homicide. As far as the technicalities of it, well that’s not being release as of yet, but eventually it will be.”
What we do know is that the body of 23 year old Maximiliano Casados Galvan from Laguna Heights was found dead on the side of California Road, just south of the Brownsville airport Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the call after a passerby reported seeing the body. A death investigation ensued and an autopsy was ordered by justice of the peace Jonathan Gracia.
The two big questions, how was Galvan killed and what was a Laguna Heights man doing in Brownsville?
Brownsville PD Officer, JJ Trevino, “That’s part of the investigation that is basically what we’re working on as to how he came about to be here.”
Police are now asking for your help on another big piece in the investigation, they want to locate Galvan’s vehicle. It is a red 2005 Dodge Neon with Texas license plates D-W-D 20-67
Brownsville PD Officer, JJ Trevino, “The last time that vehicle was seen was with the victim, so it’s a puzzle and that particular vehicle it’s just another piece to the main picture.”
Again if you have any information on this case or you have seen the car anywhere, you are asked to call Brownsville Crime Stoppers. Reporting in Brownsville, Emily Jimenez, KVEO News Center 23.”
The hotline for Brownsville Crime Stoppers that you call with any information is 546-8477.
