UPDATE: According to FlightAware.com, American Airlines flight 2350 departed from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport just after 2:45 p.m. headed to Mexico City when the plane was diverted.

Officials said a plane has made an emergency landing at McAllen International Airport on Thursday afternoon.
According to Captain Jim Schultz with the McAllen Fire Department, firefighters responded to a plane that was having mechanical issues.
Schultz said the plane did land safely.
It’s unclear whether there were any injuries or which airline the plane was with.
