Pedestrian killed, fails to yield right of way to traffic

WESLACO, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety continues investigating an auto-pedestrian accident in Edinburg that left one dead saturday morning.

The accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. between Doolittle and Monte Cristo Road. According to DPS, the pedestrian failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup and was struck. The driver remained at the scene. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
