Over $2 million worth of methamphetamine seized at Hidalgo International Bridge

HIDALGO, Texas (KVEO) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection(CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) seized $2,446,000 of methamphetamine hidden within a vehicle at the Hidalgo International Bridge.

Authorities referred a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from Houston for a secondary inspection.

Officials say the 122.3 pounds of methamphetamine were hidden within the vehicle’s gas tank.

A release mentions CBP OFO seized the narcotics and the vehicle and arrested the woman.

She was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
