One Step Closer To Space Tourism

Local News

Humans are one step closer to traveling to outer space.

Blue Origin, a company by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, completed its ninth mission to the edge of space today. It happened at the facility’s launch site in Van Horn, Texas. Blue Origin successfully separated its New Shepard Rocket booster from a crew capsule that will later ferry civilians to space.

The mission ran smoothly with both rocket and capsule returning to earth safely. The high-altitude test is critical as Bezos and Blue Origin take aim at space tourism. The company hopes to start sending people to space by the end of the year.
