Continuing coverage following the Alamo City Commissioners meeting regarding the employment of the former city police chief.
Baudelio Castillo was fired after launching investigations through the FBI with several city employees.
During Monday’s meeting, no further action was taken on the position, but Castillo says he is excited for the day when he could return to serve for the community.
“Yes, I am willing to be reinstated. I want to continue being the chief here in Alamo,” said Castillo. “I want to continue serving our community and citizens and continue to enforce the law.
Due to the outcome, Castillo says he will continue to fight for his position.
He says he’s gearing up for a lawsuit against the city.
