Hidalgo County has a new tax office in the city of McAllen.
The office is located on 300 East Hackberry Avenue. Services currently being offered are property tax collection and motor vehicle titling and registration. Officials said the newly remodeled substation was long overdue.
Armando Garza, Chief Administrator Hidalgo County PCT. 2 said, “The city of McAllen is the city with the most tax payers and it didn’t have a tax office. We felt that by putting a tax office inside the city limits it would make it much more convenient for resident of McAllen”
This marks the fourth substation in Precinct 2. The others are located in the cities of Alamo, San Juan and the Pharr.
