Cotton farmers now have a revolutionizing way to gather their harvest.
It’s that time when fields of white across the country are being shaved to short and barren stalks. In places like South Texas a new state of the art Bale Picker is helping make the job easier.
It’s called the C-S-690 Cotton Stripper from John Deere. The machinery features an onboard module building system. It’s giving farmers a quicker harvest plus saving labor and other costs.
The system replaces rectangular bales to rolled ones. The giant bales are also more water resistant and easier to transport to the cotton gin.
The new technology does come with a price tag. One picker can costs up to 900-Thousand Dollars.
