The city of Harlingen, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and Harlingen CISD held a signing ceremony to begin the construction of a new building.
The campus will allow high school students to take classes with UTRGV in Harlingen.
According to a release, the city donated the land to the university. UTRGV will be working with HCISD to build the new facility and share the cost of construction.
The project is expected to be completed in March 2021.
