MCALLEN, Texas — As the 2019 MXLAN festival nears, organizers are excited about this 5-day interactive event designed to integrate Mexican culture with the culture of the Rio Grande Valley.
There will be live music stages, street parades, food, drinks, arts, live shows and even guest panels to discuss border related topics. Organizers say it’s a great family event for everyone to enjoy.
Steve Ahlenius, President & CEO – McAllen Chamber of Commerce, “One of our key goals behind MXLAN is to help drive hotel occupancy retail sales and restaurants. By brining folks in from the Rio Grande Valley to the south Texas triangle to northern Mexico, we think we are going to have an impact.”
The festival will run from July 24–28 in McAllen.
