Fernando Landeros is making an impact. Not just in Mexico, but in the United States.
The 2016 Mr. Amigo honoree is President of the Telethon Foundation. The nonprofit raises funds to
support and assist children with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.

That is why Landeros made an appearance at Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Mr. Amigo met with clients of
the hospital. And took pictures with patients who have benefit from the hospital’s service. Landeros says
nothing can compare to helping sick children.

“To recover hope. Which I think is the most important value for a mom. For a dad, I see what you have in
your eyes and that’s exactly what I would have for one of my kids.”

The Mr. Amigo Association President Richard Garza says Landeros was chosen because of the work he
provides for children with special needs. Landeros says he was very happy to see Driscoll Children’s Hospital on his schedule of appearances.

Landeros tells the crowd he can’t imagine what it feels like to have a sick child. He can’t think of a better
mission in life than to help kids with special needs. Mr. Amigo encourages those in attendance to have hope
and faith. Every patient invited was given the opportunity to take a picutre with Landeros. Parents took photos as he embraced the patients.
