Mother Sought By Police For Kidnapping Daughter

Local News

Still no word on the location of a Brownsville child who was allegedly taken by her mother against court orders.

Police are looking for 21-year-old Francia Joseline Villegas in the parental kidnapping case. Detectives said Villegas took off with her one-year-old daughter Paris Gomez against court orders. Child Protective Services had removed the child from the mother due to a previous arrest.

Investigators said in order to make her escape she removed a court ordered ankle monitor. She was last seen walking towards the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville.

A warrant for kidnapping has been issued for Villegas. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brownsville Police Department at (956) 548-7000.
