Mother of Child left in Hot Car Given 2 years Probation

A Brownsville mom accused of leaving her 8 month old baby in a hot car will serve two years of probation. 28 year old Erica Lynn Muñoz pleaded no contest before a judge to one count of Criminally Negligent Homicide.

Two years ago, police responded to Muñoz’s home in the 6100 block of Lynx Drive in regards to an unresponsive child. The baby was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
