Mother allegedly abandons children to visit boyfriend in jail

PRIMERA, Texas – Primera Police arrested and charged 30-year-old Amanda Cabello with three counts of Abandoning a Child with Intent to Return. On March 30 a report was filed by a concern citizen with the Primera Police department.

After further investigation police determined Cabello had left her childlern ages 5, 8, and 11 alone at their residence while she drove to Huntsville, Texas to visit a boyfriend that is in jail. On Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., Primera Police arrested Cabello and charged with three counts of Abandoning a Child with Intent to Return. She received a bond totaling $10,500.
