After meeting with patients at Driscoll Hospital in Brownsville, Mr. Amigo stopped at Moody Clinic. Fernando Landeros did another meet and greet with individuals who have special needs.
Attendees welcomed Mr. Amigo. They were professionals who work with people who have disabilities, as well as people who have benefited from the clinic.
Parents gave emotional testimonials and showed gratitude for the work Landeros does for the community with special needs.
Patients, such as Diego Trevino, were also touched.
Diego, is a first grader that attends Pena Elementary School. He said he felt happy to meet Mr. Amigo.
Diego gave Mr. Amigo a $1,500 check from Down by the Border, a non-profit organization that helps families with special needs.
The money will be donated to the Teleton, Landero’s non-profit organization that also helps children with special needs.
Mr. Amigo got a tour of the clinic, while Moody clients and representatives expressed their gratitude to Mr. Amigo.
Landeros said he appreciates what the Moody Clinic does for children in need.
