Moody Clinic in Brownsville Celebrates 65 Years

Local News

An agency that has helped thousands of Rio Grande Valley children over the years is celebrating a milestone.

Since 1952 the Moody Clinic in Brownsville has been offering rehabilitation services to kids with special needs.

Now the clinic is celebrating 65 years of serving the community. It’s the only non-profit agency in Brownsville that helps children with special needs. The clinic helps children from birth to 21 years of age. Patients who have everything from Autism to Cerebral Palsy are given help.

Christine Cavazos – Moody Clinic said, “We are a non-profit organization that provides services to children with special needs and so we’ve been providing services for 65 years. We were created in 1952 and so it’s a pretty big milestone for, not only the board of directors and the staff, but also the parents and families of children that we have served. We like to think that Moody Clinic has made a significant impact in our community, so we’re excited about it.”

Moody Clinic was founded on the principal that every kid deserves quality care. The clinic just needs a referral from a pediatrician for an evaluation by a therapist.
