Month old auto-pedestrian crash investigation continues

WESLACO, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate an auto pedestrian crash that occurred on Sunday, October 20 at about 12:04 a.m., on Mile 5 N east of Mile 3 W Road. 

A preliminary investigation revealed an unknown vehicle was traveling east on Mile 5 N  when it struck a pedestrian walking in the middle of the roadway.  Driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian and kept traveling east on Mile 5 N Road.  The pedestrian was transported to Valley Baptist and remains hospitalized at this time.  DPS Troopers continue to investigate this auto pedestrian crash.
