MISSION, Texas – The Mission Police Department announced they will be providing a free lunch for the community on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 11:30 a.m.

The department said they will do this in appreciation for the public.

In recent months, local restaurants and residents have stepped forward to provide meals to first responders. Now the police department said they are returning the favor.

Mission Police say citizens simply need to drive by the police department and grab a burger. Lunches will be available until they run out.

No more than 2 families per vehicle. Masks are required, said the department.

The Mission Police Department is located at 1200 E. 8th Street.
