Mission man, 77, is Hidalgo County’s third COVID-19 related death

HIDALGO COUNTY, Texas – Hidalgo County officials confirm that their third resident has died as a result of COVID-19.

The resident, a 77-year-old Mission man with underlying medical conditions, died on Thursday.

All three of Hidalgo County’s COVID-19-related deaths have been elderly men with underlying health issues.

Additionally, ten more people in Hidalgo County have tested positive for this strain of coronavirus.

This brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 235 people.

Three more people were released from isolation meaning they have shown no symptoms for ten days including the last three days without fever.

The total number of released patients is 42.
