MISSION, Texas (KVEO) — Almost 80 Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) graduates walked the commencement stage with their associate’s degree.

Mission CISD said in a press release the graduates saved thousands of dollars on college credit through Dual Enrollment courses as a part of the district’s partnership with South Texas College.

The district says the number of students taking advantage of the opportunity to earn an Associate’s Degree while attending high school has increased over the last four years.

In 2017, the number of seniors graduating with an Associate’s Degrees was 58, compared to the 79 in the Class of 2020, added the release.
