Milling Operations begin on I-69 in Harlingen/Combes Area

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) would like to advise all motorists in the Harlingen, TX area that the northbound and southbound main lanes of Interstate 69E will have lane closures from October 1st starting at 8:00AM to October 14th ending at 5:00PM.  Texas SAI Inc, a TxDOT contractor, will be milling the approaches and departures of the bridge.  The project limits are from the floodway bridge (5.3 miles north of SH 107 in Combes, TX) to FM 2994 (Wilson Rd. in Harlingen, TX).  The work will be performed Monday through Saturday.  The contractor will be closing one lane at a time so that one lane always remains open.  Drivers are asked to drive with caution while traveling through the work zone.
