Men Convicted in Wire Fraud Scheme

Two men have been convicted for participating in a second chance mortgage lending scheme.

After seven days in court, a federal jury convicted 36-year-old Luis Antonio Rodriguez, and Rogelio Ramos Jr. of Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud. 31-year-old Guadalupe Artemio Gomez, was the third suspect. He pleaded guilty before the trial, and testified against Rodriguez and Ramos.

All three were accused of operating a “second chance” financing business under different names and defrauding more than 100 people. The three men will be sentenced late July and early August.
