The next time you pass the McAllen Medical Center, you’ll see some new furniture painted by local students.

McAllen Medical bought some six large picnic tables and gave each McAllen I.S.D. high school campus two tables to decorate.

Over a few weeks, the students in art classes designed the tables that each displayed a sense of McAllen pride.

“Here in South Texas, we’re all about family, supporting the community, just the fact our local students produced this it builds a sense of pride,” said Daniel Rincones, Associate Administrator with South Texas Heath Systems.

The tables will be part of the courtyard outside the hospital and are already on display.
