A pop-up shop in McAllen is bringing a little fantasy and charity to the Valley.
Regina Martinez is the founder of the Broadway Stop.
She is a student at Lamar Academy where a group of students is putting this project together.
The shop is partnering with local businesses and Disney inspired shops.
All of the profits will go to Catholic Charities to cover immigrant’s basic needs.
“This whole project started off because I know there are a lot of immigrants in need in the Valley,” said Martinez. “At my school, there are a lot of kids looking for a platform to showcase their artwork. I also know there are a lot of different small shops that are opening with amazing and unique accessories and clothing.”
The Broadway Shop is located off of 311 South Broadway Street in McAllen and is set to open temporarily starting June 7.
