MCALLEN, Texas (KVEO) — The man arrested for waving a chainsaw at protestors in downtown McAllen is now facing two additional charges.
Daniel Peña, 44, was booked into county jail on two new counts of deadly conduct.
According to public records, Peña’s bond was set at $3,000 for each count. He was released on Friday.
The incident happened on Main Street in downtown McAllen around 2 p.m. on June 5.
McAllen Mayor Jim Darling condemned the act on Twitter and stated, “we will not tolerate such conduct in our City of McAllen.”
