McAllen Fire crews are currently investigating what caused people within the Social Security Administration building to become sick.

McAllen Fire crews are currently investigating what caused people within the Social Security Administration building to become sick.

According to McAllen Fire Officials, just before 2 p.m, the department received an alarm about something in the air within the building located at the 3000 block of N. McColl Rd. It is reported that people were coughing and vomiting due to something in the air. Eight people have been hospitalized as a precaution.

At this time it is unclear what caused people to become sick. The building has been evacuated and crews are currently checking the air quality of the building.
