Law enforcement officers say they busted a large-scale Marijuana growing operation in west Texas.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says they seized about 40,000 Marijuana plants worth millions of dollars at a ranch in Menard. That’s about 200 miles northwest of Austin. They say the operation was initially spotted by an aerial patrol.

They say the site featured “substantial infrastructure”… Including camps and irrigation facilities. Wardens say they encountered armed guards protecting the site as well as discarded firearms.

No word of any arrests.
