RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (KVEO) — The Rio Grande City Police Department arrested a man twice in one day for two separate incidents.
According to a release, police responded in a reference to a theft. The victim told officials a television was stolen.
The suspect, identified as Julio Garcia, took the television to a pawn shop, said the release.
Garcia was arrested and charged with theft.
Later, police were called about a man running with a weapon at a Burger King parking lot.
At arrival, police discovered Garcia enter a vehicle and stole a firearm, after being released from jail.
Garcia was then located and arrested. He was charged with burglary of a vehicle.
The release adds the items taken from the vehicle have been recovered and returned to the owner.
