Magic Valley Electric Company sets estimated times to restore power for residents

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas — Days after Hurricane Hanna’s initial landfall, there are still thousands of residents without power in the Rio Grande Valley.

Magic Valley Electric Company (MVEC) is reporting that approximately 4,500 of their customers are without power.

The electric company is providing estimated days and times for these customers to expect their power back on.

Below is a list of estimated times from MVEC:

  • South Pharr & Las Milpas – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • Faysville – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • South Edinburg – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • North McAllen – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • Weslaco – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • Harlingen – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • San Benito – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • Southmost Brownsville – 7/29 by 9 p.m.
  • Mission & Alton – 7/30 by 12 p.m.
  • North Edinburg – 7/30 by 9 p.m.
  • Donna – 7/30 by 9 p.m.
  • North Pharr, San Juan, & Alamo – 7/30 by 9 p.m.
  • Willacy County and Delta Lake – 8/1 by 9 p.m.
