HARLINGEN, Texas – The Children’s Advocacy Centers of Cameron and Willacy Counties (CACCWC) announced the move of Maggie’s House to 2220 Haine Dr. Suite #38 in Harlingen.

The center said they are thankful for the donation of operational space by Valley Baptist Medical Center (VBMC). CACCWC added they will hold a soft ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 6 at 6 pm.

The brief ceremony will take place outside and CDC guidelines will be observed with limited invitees. The ceremony will be broadcast their Facebook page, said the agency.

The new location for Maggie’s House has provided the CACCWC with the necessary space to grow the team, adding much needed staff in response to the demand for services.

During the pandemic, tele-health services have been developed. CACCWC provides teleforensic interviewing and tele-therapy services.

A new parent support group is being offered in collaboration with the UTRGV School of Social Work Graduate Program through tele-health as well, said the advocacy center.
