LOS FRESNOS, Texas – The city of Los Fresnos is celebrating the opening of their new city hall building. The new and improved building is twice the size of the old one. Expanding this building was one of the goals the city hoped for. One of the problems with the old city hall was it was small and staff were overcrowded.
The city manager, wanted to create a space where employees could work efficiently and work better for their community.
Mark Milum, city manager, “We had close to 10 people that were either in file rooms or closed up store room or break room and some people didn’t have an office. We just let them sit in the corner and did what they could do as best they can do.”
The brand new facility is also housing the chamber of commerce for development and businesses in the community. The city manager says as the city of Los Fresnos continues grow, they wanted the new building to represent that.
