Look ahead: heating up before rain chances increase

Local News

The next few days will be dry and hot before the chance for rain increases as we head into the beginning of next week.

Thursday, temperatures will be in the upper 70’s to near 80 to begin the day.

By the afternoon, most cities west of Highway 77 make it above 100 degrees with heat indices between 102-112.

On Sunday, a shift in the weather pattern will help to introduce chances for rain back into the area.

In addition, clouds will increase slightly giving way to partly cloudy skies.

Expect temperatures to respond, with highs from 92-96 through Wednesday.
