MCALLEN – With the COVID-19 pandemic causing a supply shortage for medical professionals, local businesses are coming together to help out.
One McAllen business is starting a fundraiser to help first responders in the battle against COVID-19.
The fundraiser’s goal is to raise funds to buy 4500 masks that will be donated to the Hidalgo-Starr Medical Alliance.
The local store, Shop 112, is spearheading this effort to give back to local medical professionals.
“You can go to our website which is shop112.com or they can look us up on Fb or Instagram under Shop 112,” said Monique Sanchez, owner of Shop 112. “They’ll find the Cash App to make a donation or go our website.”
The shop’s goal is to have the masks delivered to the agency by next Friday.
