BROWNSVILLE, Texas – New improvements are coming to a popular fishing spot in Arroyo City. Texas Parks and Wildlife awards Cameron County Parks $375,000 for improvements to the boat ramps. In a statement, county officials claim the grant will go entirely towards the construction of a new facility. That includes LED lighting at the parking lots and resurfacing the access road. Construction is expected to begin this month and completion is scheduled for January 2020.
