U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement wants to deport a Mexican man for the eighth time.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Hector Antonio Martinez Oviedo on Friday at the Pharr city jail.

“Record checks revealed the defendant was formally removed from the United States to Mexico for the seventh (7th) time on July 20, 2016 via the Brownsville, Texas Port of Entry,” according to the federal criminal complaint.

According to the criminal complaint, Martinez was deported on:

  • June 30, 2015
  • Oct. 13, 2015
  • April 1, 2016

“The defendant claims to have illegally re-entered the United States on or about December 15, 2015 by wading the Rio Grande River at or near Hidalgo, Texas,” according to the criminal complaint.

He’s now charged with illegal re-entry.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Peter E. Ormsby ordered Martinez held without bond.
