Identity of Crash Victim Released

The identity of the driver who was found dead in her car has been released.

Police are trying to figure out how 19-year-old Kayla Linette Ruelas lost control of her vehicle and flipped into the Arroyo Colorado.

It happened on April 20 around 3:00 p.m. Ruelas was driving down Highway 2556 when something went wrong.
Near the arroyo, there’s a sharp curve, but family members tell investigators she drove that area all the time.

Authorities are now trying to figure out if she was distracted before the crash.
