MISSION, Texas – A man who reportedly stabbed his wife 12 times is behind bars tonight.
37-year-old Pablo Flores-Rodriguez is facing Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon charges after Mission Police say he allegedly confused his wife for a burglar and stabbed her with a kitchen knife nine times on her arm near her neck, and three times on her back.
Assistant Chief Jody Tittle, Mission Police Department, “You need to realize that Domestic Violence not only affects you, your spouse, it affects your children, your loved ones. During the arraignment some family members were distraught over this. It’s the holiday season, it doesn’t pay. You need to think with a clear head.”
Police say the victim underwent emergency surgery on Monday night and is expected to recover. Rodriguez’s bond is set at $500,000.
