A day before President Trump makes his Valley visit, a welcome sign is now up.
It reads “Welcome to McAllen– The 7th Safest City in America.”
It’s posted at the historic Cine El Rey Theatre in McAllen.
The Cine El Rey Group wanted to remind the public that McAllen is one of the safest cities in the United States.
We’re told that a survey back in 2015 ranked them number 7. But currently, they are ranked number 11 as the safest most place to live.
The Cine El Rey Group says they put up the signage to get a conversation started and to officially welcome the president to stop by the theatre.
