RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – A non-profit organization is now recognizing Hispanic individuals who continue to play an essential part during the global pandemic.
Hispanic Star Month of Action is a part of a national campaign to help one of the most vulnerable communities to the virus, the Hispanic community.
The campaign was started in the Rio Grande Valley and has since expanded to help the Hispanic community in other locations.
“I’m honored to say we started One United RGV. This national campaign started in South Texas, we did it in 18 cities and now it’s across the US from coast to coast,” said Perla Tamez, Hispanic Star.
Tamez said their goal is to push all those in South Texas to complete the census.
