Hidalgo County continues implementing Countywide Polling Place Program.
The program allows registered voters to cast their vote at any county polling location, according to a press release.
“The Countywide Polling Place program allows for every voter’s ballot to be at every polling location on Election Day,” said Elections Administrator Yvonne Ramón. “Voters no longer have to drive to their precinct polling location to vote. They can now vote at their nearest polling location, just like they are able to during Early Voting.”
The program was first tested in 2017 and was declared successful by the Secretary of State’s Office in January 2018, said the release.
