Local News

HARLINGEN, Texas – A rap video made by students of Zavala Elementary in Harlingen has gone viral.

The video was made by students Myles and Mason Munoz with the help of their father Matthew Munoz.

The video, “Wash your Hands”, delivers a simple yet powerful message to kids, on the importance of washing your hands and staying home.

The rap video was a social studies assignment promoting social awareness.

Matthew Munoz says he has received a good response from school and community about the video.

The video has even made it’s way to the air waves, as it was featured this morning on a local radio station.

“I wasn’t expecting it to come out so good you know, it was just something for school, it wasn’t suppose to you know really go viral.” says Munoz.

Munoz says the main goal of the video is to let kids know the importance of washing their hand and staying home, but adds if his kids really enjoy doing this there could be another video in the works.
