HARLINGEN, Texas (KVEO) — The city of Harlingen is asking residents affected by Hurricane Hanna to report damage assessments.

The city says Cameron County must meet a threshold of $1.5 million in damages in order to receive help from FEMA.

The Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) will be verifying that amount and reporting to the federal agency, said a release.
