HARLINGEN, Texas — The City of Harlingen is ramping up supplies for hospitals to use.
Harlingen purchased 50 units of oxygen concentrators that will be distributed to hospitals to help COVID-19 patients.
These concentrators will allow the hospitals to discharge recovering patients that need oxygen support but are well enough to go home.
This will provide more beds for more critical patients.
Harlingen purchased these supplies with funding from the CARES Act COVID Relief funds.
The concentraters are distributed to two hospitals in Harlingen.
Valley Baptist is receiving 35 concentraters and Harlingen Medical Center is receiving 15.
