Harlingen police execute search warrant, narcotics, weapons and U.S. currency seized

The Harlingen Police Department executed a search warrant as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation on Feb. 7.

Harlingen Police Department Organized Crime Unit and the Harlingen SWAT team executed the search warrant at a residence in the area of 6th and Monroe St. at approximately 5 a.m.

According to a press release, various narcotics, weapons and U.S. currency were seized.

One male was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Harlingen City Jail awaiting arraignment.

The release states, the community had raised concerns about drug dealing from the residence. 

Harlingen police encourage members of the community to report suspicious activity to their local police departments.
