Harlingen Police arrest man in connection to hit and run crash

Harlingen police have arrested a 37-year old male in connection to an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred after 8:30 a.m on Saturday morning at Northbound Frontage and Wilson Rd.

Harlingen police have arrested a 37-year old male in connection to an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred after 8:30 a.m on Saturday morning at Northbound Frontage and Wilson Rd.

According to police, a blue-colored Mazda passenger car struck a bicyclist on the Frontage Rd. and then fled the scene of the crash.

A witness assisted police in locating the vehicle and a suspect was taken into custody for the hit and run.

The victim, a 47-year-old male, was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is awaiting arraignment.
