Harlingen Man to Spend Life in Prison

Local News

A Harlingen man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murder of his ex-wife and another man.

The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office says Omar Montemayor broke into his estranged wife, Sarah Maxwell’s home in 2012.

Montemayor began arguing with Maxwell and Devan Leroy Haynes. Montemayor was found guilty of murder in 2012, but recently appealed his conviction. The court over-ruled his issues and affirmed the court’s judgment.
